Yim Yames joined John Prine last night for a beautiful performance of “All the Best” on the Late Show with David Letterman. “All the Best” will be featured on the upcoming album Broken Hearts and Dirty Windows: Songs of John Prine, and will include the rest of My Morning Jacket. Drive-By Truckers also appear on the album, contributing their version of “Daddy’s Little Pumpkin.” Broken Hearts and Dirty Windows: Songs of John Prine will be released by Oh Boy Records on June 22nd.
The John Butler Trio are set to play on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno this coming Tuesday, the 25th. JBT will rock the studio, performing a track from their latest and much acclaimed release ‘April Uprising’. Don’t miss it! Tune into NBC Tuesday, May 25th @ 11:35 PM (although they will actually play closer to 12:25 AM).

Rodrigo y Gabriela wrapped up their U.S. tour on Wednesday night with an intimate performance at the White House in front of President Obama, Mrs. Obama, and about 200 guests. The duo shared the stage with Obama favorite, Beyonce. The black-tie event was a stark contrast to their recent and rowdy sold-out performance at Radio City Music Hall.
Honorary guests at the Obamas’ second state dinner at the White House were Mexican President Felipe Hinojosa and First Lady Margarita Zavala. The concert coincided with the news that Rodrigo y Gabriela have reached one million total albums sold worldwide. The duo plans to take some time off before hitting some festivals in late June.
