Emily King Announces Fall Arena Tour Supporting Sara Bareilles
Fresh off headlining the opening night of Central Park’s iconic SummerStage on Saturday, Emily King was announced as support on Sara Bareilles’ Fall North American tour – the latest highlight in an amazing year for the vibrant R&B singer-songwriter. King and Bareilles are long-time friends and collaborators, most recently on Bareilles’ new track ” If I Can’t Have You“, which was produced by T Bone Burnett. Tickets for all dates are on-sale now and all upcoming tour dates can be seen below, including King’s upcoming Lollapalooza play this August.
In February of this year, King released her third album Scenery which debuted at #3 on the Billboard R&B chart and #6 on the Heatseekers’ chart. Scenery was praised by NPR, Pitchfork, and the New York Times and saw King performing on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, CBS Saturday Morning, and NPR’s Live From Here.

It’s been said: if you want to change your mind state, change your scenery first.
For Emily King, the pop-soul singer from New York City who spent her first three decades living on the same downtown block, that notion was always easier said than done. A proud New Yorker, she loved her home, her family, her friends, and her life there. But when she finally resolved to challenge herself by moving out of her comfort zone, positive changes started taking shape immediately. In Upstate New York, the fresh air and fresh mentality gave her the proper space and perspective to create what would become the album of her career. Its name: Scenery.“For me, Scenery has themes of independence, confidence, and self-reliance throughout,” she says. “It’s about having a sense of freedom and self-worth, and taking a chance and having an adventure.”
