Hey Rosetta! Announces New Album “Seeds” Out May 8th + North American Tour
May 8th will see Hey Rosetta! dropping their new album Seeds, on ATO Records. The U.S. version will also include 4 acoustic bonus tracks. Seeds employs some of the most poetic and profound lyrical offerings from Tim Baker (vocals/guitar), and traps the full sonic expression of the band, including cellist Romesh Thavanathan, violinist Kinley Dowling, bassist Josh Ward, drummer Phil Maloney and guitarist Adam Hogan. Earlier this year, Paste Magazine named Hey Rosetta! among the ‘Top 5 Bands to See at SXSW’. Look for them touring this Spring.

Alabama Shakes – comprising vocalist/guitarist Brittany Howard, guitarist Heath Fogg, drummer Steve Johnson and bassist Zac Cockrell – began playing together when they were in high school. Ben Tanner assists on keyboards. Alabama Shakes will make its television debut on February 7 on “Conan.” The band will also appear on KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic” on Tuesday, January 24, and its “World Cafe” session will air on NPR on January 26.
Jack White’s Third Man Records has selected Alabama Shakes to kick off its series of live 45 releases. The two-song 7” from the band’s fall 2011 session at Third Man in Nashville, is due out in late January.
